- Severe muscle and bone aches
These symptoms can be so severe, difficult and uncomfortable, that many people will prefer to just keep using. Heroin withdrawal, although not life-threatening, can be excruciating. At Royal Life Detox, we use the latest medications and comfort meds to make your stay with us safe, effective, and as comfortable as possible. We’re a physically and emotionally healthy environment, so you can start to establish a holistic and comprehensive recovery. We treat the whole person at Royal Life Centers; you aren’t a number, you’re a person we care about and want to help.
Our standard heroin (opiate/opioid) detox is 8 days. You arrive on day one and go through a comprehensive medical assessment physically and mentally. Your physical well-being is paramount to us. We assess your medical condition, your drugs of use (what you’ve been using, how much and when) your medical records and medications. We also lab test and screen you for drugs of use. Any information you provide and all of your medical records are completely and strictly confidential. We don’t give out any information to anyone without your expressed written permission.
After this initial process we will now have you in a stabilization process. We design a comprehensive effective medical and behavioral modification plan for you. Medications are often used in order to wean you off of heroin (taper) safely. Heroin detox can feel like you have the flu at times, with tiredness and aches and pains, so many comfort medications are also available to ease the discomfort of detox flu-like symptoms.
Your stay with us will also address your emotional and psychological well-being. We have a number of different therapies and sessions for you to participate in during the detox process. There are five group therapy sessions available to you daily. Case management and individual therapy are also available to you. Royal Life Centers has an individualized treatment policy to address your needs while you are with us. We can start to address what causes your mind and body to be dependent on heroin and how to change the dependence to freedom. We can start to deal with the issues you have and why you chose to numb your feelings and emotions with heroin and other substances.
In every patient room we have flat screen televisions with premium cable services. Some of our detoxes even have private rooms. In detox, we even do your laundry. All of these amenities are available to help you focus on your primary concern, which is to recover.
Our cafeteria is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There will be dozens of items to snack on and various beverages to drink. We even have a soft serve ice cream machine with all of the toppings. Our chefs come in and make fresh breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day. There are usually several options to choose from if you are a picky-eater. In the mornings, super fresh wheatgrass shots are available to all our guests. Healing starts from the inside out.
