The Admissions Process

The biggest question that we receive from our guests as they begin to make the decision toward a life of sobriety is, “Where do I begin?”. The choice to change your life into one of physical, mental and spiritual wellness is one of the most difficult that you will ever make. It takes immense amounts of strength and courage. The good news is, you do not and will not be taking this journey by yourself. As soon as you reach out to one of the amazing admissions counselors here at Royal Life Centers, you will soon realize that you are not alone. There is a support system waiting for you to take you by the hand and show you the way to sobriety.

So what can you expect, when you begin your admissions process?

The Admissions Call

The first step, of course, is to reach out to us by calling 888-559-5109. You will be able to speak to one of our admissions coordinators 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And don’t worry, every conversation is completely confidential and private. They will start by asking you a little bit about yourself and your situation. It is important to be as honest as possible, so that the admissions coordinator can fully understand what sort of help you need, and provide the best possible care. This is also your opportunity to get to know us, our processes and receive answers to any of the questions you or your loved ones may have.

Basic Details

The next step will be to get your basic details so we can begin your chart. This is simple enough. We will need:

Your First and Last Name
Your Date of Birth
Your Insurance Provider

Insurance Verification

Once we know a little more about you, we will take a look at your insurance to verify what benefits it will provide you so that we can give you the most accurate information possible about what your responsibilities will be for care. Once this information is verified, we can talk about your deductible information and out of pocket costs.

We will need:

Your Full Name
Date of Birth
Address and Phone Number
Insurance Provider
Plan Type
Member ID#
Group ID
Social Security Number

If you have a state policy, we will determine which of our facilities will be the best for you.

Pre-Screening Assessment

The Pre-Screening Assessment is a discussion on your medical history. We ask that you are as honest as possible, so we can fully understand what sort of care you will need. As with the entire call, this is strictly confidential. We will ask you about what substances you have consumed, what you are currently using and your overall medical history. By providing this information, we will know how to build your plan of care.

Coming In

Finally, at the end of the admissions process, we will schedule you to come and tell you what to bring so that we can get you started on your path to sobriety. There are a few important things to note:

Tours: Many people ask for an individual tour. However, due to HIPAA compliance, we are unable to give a full tour until you are admitted into our care. That being said, we will gladly allow you to meet the entirety of our staff before you start.
Transportation: You will need to provide your own transportation to our facility, however, you cannot be the one to drive yourself. We encourage you to have your support advocate bring you if they are able. If you are coming from out of town, we can help arrange transport from the airport or train station for you.
If we are NOT the right facility for you, we will make sure to find you the help you need by referring you to one that is.
